Community Events
The Athens Jewish Film Festival has
received a grant from the Georgia Humanities Council to help sponsor 2
films and 2 scholars. One of the films is "The Year
My Parents Went on Vacation"
This Brazilian film will be introduced and discussed
by Jeffrey Lesser, Winship Distinguished Research
Professor of History and Director of the Tam
Institute of Judaic Studies at Emory.
The film will have two screenings on Sunday, March 1
at Cine' 10:30 am and 4:30pm. Dr. Lesser will introduce
the afternoon one. LACSI will
collaborate with the AthensJFF in this effort.
Student Tickets for the Film/discussion are $6.00;
General admission $10.00.
