Virtual Screenings of Brazilian director Kleber Mendonça Filho's "Bacarau" at Ciné (Ongoing: disregard date)

Ciné website

The much-anticipated Brazilian film Bacurau by Kleber Mendonça Filho, acclaimed director of Aquarius and Neighboring Sounds, can now be viewed in a virtual theatrical run via Ciné by visiting the following link: https://kinonow.com/bacurau-athens-cine

A provocative mix of genres ranging from science fiction to the spaghetti western, the film looks at the resilience of villagers living in Brazil's sertão (rural backlands) as they face a mysterious threat from a sinister group of outsiders.

Virtual screenings are ongoing. Tickets cost $12 and are a great way to support Ciné at a difficult time for all, including our local arts organizations.
