The 7th Annual Linguistics Conference at the University of Georgia (LCUGA7)

Virtual

The Linguistics Society at the University of Georgia is proud to present the 7th Annual Linguistics Conference at UGA on October 9th and 10th, 2021! The central focus of this year’s conference is ''Language and Connection.'' We encourage presentations with creative interpretations of the central theme and that span academic fields, as well as connect academia with the larger community. We are proud to welcome our plenary speakers, Dr. Lelia Glass of Georgia Tech and Dr. Robin Dodsworth of North Carolina State University, who will share their insight on topics related to this theme.

This year's conference will be simulcast on Gather, so we are happy to accept abstract submissions for virtual presentations and attendees from anywhere in the world. The deadline for abstracts is July 15th.

*The deadline to submit abstracts for the upcoming LCUGA conference has been extended from July 15 to July 30, 2021

For more information, see the complete call for papers on LinguistList or contact either Joshua McNeill (joshua.mcneill@uga.edu) or Rachel Hignite (rkh94649@uga.edu).
