Please join us for the launch of this trilingual illustrated story book for children and learn about the potential of sustainable community-based projects!

The book, Wounaan chaain dohigaau nemchaain hoo wënʌrrajim (Los niños wounaan, en su aventura vieron muchas aves, The Adventures of Wounaan Children and Many Birds), is authored by the Wounaan Cultural Team and UGA Scientific Illustration program alumnus Frankie Grin.  The entire Wounaan Cultural Team (Chenier Carpio Opua, Doris Cheucarama Membache, Dorindo Membora Peña, Chindío Peña Ismare, and UGA's Dr. Julie Velásquez Runk) and Frankie Grin will co-present the book.  The book results from a series of community-based research projects with the Wounaan National Congress and the Foundation for the Development of Wounaan People.

The speaker series will be mostly in Spanish with an English-language presentation by artist and illustrator Frankie Grin.
