Pedrós-Gascón (Colorado State University), an internationally recognized scholar of Spanish literature. This discussion will explore the life and transatlantic feminist legacy of Concepción Gimeno de Flaquer, a pioneering 19th-century writer, editor, and early advocate for feminism in Spain and Latin America. It will also explore Gimeno de Flaquer’s editorial and literary projects. The event is organized by the Department of Romance Languages and co-sponsored by the Institute for Women’s and Gender Studies, the Willson Center for Humanities & Arts, and LACSI.
