About this Degree REQUIREMENTS A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work. Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as course work in the minor. Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as course work in the minor. All courses used to satisfy the minor requirement must be passed with a grade of "C" (2.0) or better. Students seeking a minor in Latinx Studies must complete 15 hours as follows: One course from the list of required courses below: Required Courses (3 hours) Credits LACS 2010 or ROML 2550 or SPAN 2550 3 FOUR courses from the list of elective courses below:(Students are responsible for fulfilling any prerequisites for the courses) Note: Students may appeal for the inclusion of one upper-division course not on this list, as long as it has at least 25% content dedicated to Latinx issues.
