Minor in Latinx Studies

About this Degree

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work. 
  • Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as course work in the minor. 
  • Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as course work in the minor. 
  • All courses used to satisfy the minor requirement must be passed with a grade of "C" (2.0) or better.

Students seeking a minor in Latinx Studies must complete 15 hours as follows:

Note: Students may appeal for the inclusion of one upper-division course not on this list, as long as it has at least 25% content dedicated to Latinx issues. This typically constitutes a final project and one assignment. Make sure to contact Frans Weiser beforehand (frweiser@uga.edu).
